The best time to visit Peru is during the dry season, which runs from May to September. The weather is warm and sunny, and there is little rain. This is the best time to visit Machu Picchu and the other Inca ruins, as the weather is clear, and the trails are dry.


If you are planning to visit during the rainy season, which runs from October to April, be sure to pack rain gear and be prepared for wet weather. The rainiest months are December and January.
