Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, located about 2,000 kilometers off the southeast coast of Africa. The best time to visit Mauritius is during the dry season, which runs from May to December. During this time, the weather is warm and sunny, with average temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius (77 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit). There is also very little rain during this time of year, making it the perfect time to enjoy the island's many beaches, water sports, and other outdoor activities.


If you are looking for a more affordable trip, you may want to consider visiting Mauritius during the shoulder seasons, which are April and May, and September and October. The weather is still warm and sunny during these months, but there is a slightly higher chance of rain. You may also find that prices for flights and accommodation are lower during these times.


The wet season in Mauritius runs from January to March. During this time, the weather is hot and humid, with frequent rain showers. However, the weather can still be pleasant during the day, and there are still plenty of activities to enjoy, such as swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Just be sure to pack a raincoat and umbrella!
