PULAU UBIN

Pulau Ubin, located off Singapore's north-eastern coast, combines nature and history. This tranquil island sanctuary, just a 15-minute bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal, is a popular destination for nature lovers and day trippers looking to unwind from the city.

Originally known as Pulau Batu Jubin (Granite Stone Island in Malay), the granite quarries on this 1020-hectare island once supplied the stone used to build structures such as the Istana and the Singapore-Johore Causeway.

Visitors to the island can admire these historical sites, as well as coconut rubber plantations, fish farms, and Singapore's last remaining kampong (traditional village).
